   Dennis began carving leather in elementary school. Later, in shop classes, he fashioned scrap metal into practical and decorative pieces. During the early 70's Dennis founded the "Fantasy Factory" in Gainesville, Florida. He operated this business until called away by a love for the outdoors.

   In 1979 Dennis moved to Erwin, Tennessee and began Cherokee Adventures Whitewater Rafting. His art had to take second place ... for a time. While the River's Edge Restaurant was in the planning stages, Dennis knew that he would decorate the interior with his artwork. The result is ... well ... a work of art!

   Dennis' art uniquely captures the spirit of adventure within  the artist and the river. It is on display at the River's Edge for all to enjoy.
